We had our last class for this seasons Spring Floristry Workshop and we made a wonderful modern arrangement with arum lilies. We got such amazing feedback from our students.

We kicked off our first class of our Spring Floristry Workshop yesterday evening. It was a great success. We made a beautiful Spring Basket Arrangement. Click here to see the photos from the workshop.

We are excited to be launching our Spring Floristry Events. To start them all off will be having our Easter Flower Demonstration on Thursday the 21st of March with floral designer Karen Sherwin. The flower demo will take place at Feehilys Florist, Carraroe. Doors will open at 7pm and the demo will start at 8pm. For more information check out our workshop section.

Feehilys Florist Support Christmas Jumper day
The Sligo Cancer Support Centre are having a Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday the 13th of December to raise funds for the centre. The centre is located in Wine Street Sligo and it’s a place of peace and hope for people with cancer and their families. They are inviting Schools, businesses, colleges, hotels, cafes, bars and hospitals to partake in The Christmas Jumper Day.
Feehilys Florist have asked their staff and customers to donate to the charity and whatever they donate, Micheal Feehily would match it. We managed to raise €403.10, therefore in total we have donated €806.20 to the Sligo Cancer Support Centre. Micheal Feehily of Feehilys Florist says “we are delighted to have raised money for The Sligo Cancer Support Centre, it is a charity very close to my heart and I really hope that everyone in Sligo can get involved.”
So why not take part on the day. You can take part in The Sligo Cancer Support Centre’s Jumper Day on Thursday the 13th of December by either wearing a Christmas Jumper or any Christmas Accessory and by contributing €2 per person to this worthy cause. The Sligo Cancer Support Centre are encouraging you to take photos and email them to scscsligo@gmail.com.

We have a large selection of Fresh and Artificial Christmas trees for sale in our Carraroe showroom. They are beautiful trees in all diiferent sizes. Due to popular demand last year we ordered extra, large fresh trees this year. Call up and see our Christmas winter wonderland, we got some great feedback from customers that have visited our showroom. The kettle is on and the mince pies are ready for everyone that call. Looking forward to seeing you all over the next few weeks.
Congratulations to Maryian Baywes the winner of our famous five competition, she won a couples pampering day worth €1000. We are delighted for Marion, she is one of our Christmas floristry students.
Our Christmas networking event was a great success. We would like to thank all the businesses who came along to support us on the night. We are trying to encourage everyone to shop locally this Christmas.
Feehilys Florist Christmas Flower Demonstration was held last Wednesday the 28th and Thursday the 29th of November. Both nights were a great success. We had over 150 people at the demostrations each night. The atmoshere was amazing it was the perfect way to kick off the Christmas spirit. Joan Stam made some amazing Christmas arrangements while we all sat down and had a glass of mulled wine (or a cup of tea!!) and a mince pie. We started our Christmas Floristry Classes this week and we are delighted with the response we got. Due to a high number of interest we are running two classes. This week we made a beautiful Christmas wreath. It was great fun and everyone enjoyed the class. We finished our Autumn Floristry Classes last Wednesday the 17th of October and we got some great feedback from our students. Some of the comments we received were:

We had our Autumn Flower Demonstration on Thursday the 6th of Septmember with Ian Lloyd and it turned out to be a great night. We got a great crowd and the atmosphere was buzzing. We started our Autumn Floristry Classes last Wednesday the 12th of September and we made a beautiful table arrangement. The students all had great fun making it. This week we will be making a candle arrangment.

We made a fabulous exotic orchid arrangement last night at our fun with flowers workshop. We used a spiral bamboo, a large cymbidium orchid, some aspidistra leaves, steel grass and bear grass. We included some pearl beads, feathers and wire etc. Click here to see all of the photos from the night.

We had our Easter Flower Demonstration last Friday night with International designer Denis Van Wonderen. It was a great success, we have over 100 people who attended the event. Denis made some fabulous arrangements. Check out our Facebook page to view the photos from the night.
Our monthly Facebook winner was Alison Steward, she won two tickets to the demonstration and a fabulous bouquet of flowers.
We will be starting our fun with flowers floristry workshop on Wednesday the 25th of April at Feehilys Florist, Carraroe. Classes will run every Wednesday for five weeks. Tuition and facilitation is €150, and you just pay €20 each night for your flowers and sundries. Each night you will get the chance to make a fabulous floral arrangement. What you make that evening you can take home with you. If you are interested in booking a place please contact Sharon on 071 9159200. It’s great fun, so be inspired and get creative!
We are getting ready for Easter this weekend so we have our shop stocked of fabulous Easter arrangements, a large selection of fresh flowers, Easter decorations and plants, so come on down. We are opened all day Friday 6th of April and Saturday 7th of April. We will be closed on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
